I started smoking at 12, transitioning from rolling newspaper to cigarettes in high school. Sneaking smokes with family led to alcohol and kava use. Years later, as a married father, my addiction escalated to 40-50 cigarettes daily, straining my marriage and causing distance with my son. Despite attempts with patches and counseling, change eluded me until I joined the Universal Church in May 2010, which helped me quit drinking and smoking. Now, I live addiction-free, have transformed, and my family enjoys peace.
